SECTION, AL (WAFF) -

A Jackson County man was jailed on numerous charges involving a little girl.

Ken Randall Mayhall of Section is charged with five counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12, and one count of child enticement.

Sheriff's officials said he inappropriately touched a 7-year-old girl throughout the night while she was a guest at his home last October. The case came to light when the girl told her parents.

Mayhall remains in jail on a bond of $115,000.

    A ground search ensued that lasted about four hours and covered approximately six miles, ending a few hundred yards east of Hays Mill Road where the suspects were caught in a hunting stand/shoot house.
