GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A 10-year-old boy from Marshall County won big in a national swimming competition in Colorado.

This past weekend, Gabe Marsh competed at the Jimi Flowers Classic at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Anyone who brings home six medals is obviously doing something right, but his times continue to improve, which is good for his plans for the future.

Gabe's win is just another in a string of personal accomplishments for a boy with no legs and only one arm.

Gabe was back to swim practice this week in Guntersville. He doesn't focus on the word "disability." Instead, he focuses on his ability – swimming is something he's gotten better at since he began at the age of 5.

He already has his sights set on 2016. While he wants to get to the big stage soon, his next national competition is in California this October.
