Florence couple pleads guilty to child porn charges

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WAFF) -

A Florence couple pleaded guilty to more than 75 charges of child pornography Thursday.

Patricia and Matthew Ayers entered their guilty pleas before U.S. District Judge Scott Coogler on charges related to pornographic images of a child produced between the summer of 2010 and January 2013.

Patricia Ayers pleaded guilty to 53 counts of producing child pornography. Michael Ayers pleaded guilty to 25 counts of production.

The couple could face a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count.

Sentencing dates have not been set.
