HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

‘ATM' may traditionally stand for AutomatedTeller Machine, but it could also stand for A Terrifying Moment.

That's what one man experienced recently whenhe was robbed at an ATM.

It happened at the BBVA Compass ATM on JordanLane June 7. Security footage shows a man making a cash withdrawal when he getsa surprise visit.

A man in a white T-shirt appears, holding asemi-automatic gun in his right hand. The victim said he was told to "set itdown" – presumably in reference to the money he had just withdrawn.

The victim handed over the money, and afemale driving a blue car pulled up quickly. The robber got in the car, andthey drove off.

What you don't see in the footage, however,is that the victim started following the crook. The robber again brandished hisgun, and the victim did the right thing. He pulled over and called police.

The distance of the suspect from the camerameans we don't get the clearest view of the man. The blue car may help you –perhaps the robber has done some talking.

Either way, you could make a nice depositinto your own bank account. There's up to $1,000 in reward money if you canhelp police identify the suspect.
