JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Weather permitting, Wednesday at 12 p.m., Jackson County State Route 35 northbound traffic from milepost 46.17 to milepost 47.70 will be cut to one lane.

This is being done to pump concrete to the new bridge that is under construction.

The traffic change will remain in effect for about 24 hours and construction will operate around  the clock until the concrete pour is complete.

Signs and traffic control devices will be in place during this time. Motorists are encouraged to use caution in the area.

The south traffic flow should not be affected.

Motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other signs and use extreme caution while traveling in this area.

The Alabama Department of Transportation thanks motorists for their patience during the construction.

ALDOT's mission is to provide a safe, efficient, environmentally and economically sound transportation network across Alabama.
