HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A big crowd is expected downtown on Saturday. NASA is coming to the square.

It will be a blast from the past like when NASA's space flight accomplishments were celebrated on the square. Marshall Space Flight Center engineers, scientist, program managers, and even former astronaut Robert "Hoot" Gibson will showcase their work in getting back off the ground and into deep space.

You're invited to go out anytime Saturday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to check out the dozens of exhibits, demonstrations, games, conversations, and live music.

Be sure to expect traffic changes and possible delays downtown. The streets and sidewalks surrounding the Madison County Courthouse will be closed starting at 7:30 a.m.
