3 people arrested for growing marijuana in backyard

BRIDGEPORT, AL (WAFF) -

Members of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Stevenson Police Department and Bridgeport Police Department arrested three people on Thursday after three marijuana plants were found growing in a backyard. 

Michael E. Blevins, 52, Connie A. Parker, 48, and Carl T. Adcock, 39, were all charged with possession of marijuana second degree.

The plants were found at a house on Aldhouse Avenue in Bridgeport.

They were transported to the Jackson County jail without incident.

    A ground search ensued that lasted about four hours and covered approximately six miles, ending a few hundred yards east of Hays Mill Road where the suspects were caught in a hunting stand/shoot house.
