ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -

Three people were arrested in connection with an Athens burglary.

James Lynn Johnson Jr., Cody James Cronkhite, and a 16-year-old juvenile were arrested Wednesday and charged with third-degree burglary.

The burglary happened Tuesday night at the Ankr Food Mart on Elm Street. Officers found the front door broken out. Several cartons of cigarettes were stolen.

The juvenile was released to his mother; Johnson and Cronkhite were transferred to the county jail.

Johnson faces another charge of third-degree burglary in connection with another theft on North Houston Street. Investigators were able to recover a shotgun stolen in that burglary.
