HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Police responded to an armed robbery at a Dollar General around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The manager of the Dollar General on the 2600 block of North Memorial Parkway told police that a male entered the store wearing a white/black shirt, black pants and armed with a black handgun.

The victim said the robber aimed the gun at her and locked the store door, then walked to her and demanded money from the store. After she gave him money, he reportedly pushed the cashier monitor off of its mount and then ran out of the store, heading southbound on foot.

Police said they responded with a K-9 unit and tried to track the offender. Officers said they were able to lift several fingerprints on the scene.

No one has been arrested yet. This investigation is ongoing.
