To either keep or fire Carol Wicks as Director of Animal Services will be a decision made by the city council. If it comes to that, it would be put on a Decatur City Council meeting agenda for further review. So far, it is not on the agenda for their next meeting on Sep 2. If the issue comes before the city council, that's when we hope to find out why Mayor Kyle decided to put Wicks on paid administrative leave. He will not comment on it, saying he cannot talk about a pending personnel issue. HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Huntsville woman is trying to find the owner of a lost Father's Day gift.

Meghan Langston-Champion said she and her husband found a gift card laying on the ground as they left brunch at a restaurant on Sunday.

Langston-Champion said she called the number on the back of the card to check the amount and discovered that there was a substantial amount of money on it.

She said she hopes to find the person it belongs to because keeping the card wouldn't be right.

"If I were the person who lost this card, I would be sick over it and I would hope that whoever found it would have the decency to try to return it to me," she said.

Langston-Champion has set up an email address to help find the card's owner. If you are the card's owner, email rocketcityhsv@yahoo.com with the type of card, the store where the card was purchased and the amount on the card. Also include which parking lot where it was dropped.

Langston-Champion said if no one claims the card, she plans to donate it to a local animal rescue foundation.
