MONTGOMERY, AL (WAFF) -

Residents affected by severe weather have two weeks left to register for disaster assistance from FEMA.

Officials said those who had damage from the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding from Aril 28 to May 5 in Limestone, DeKalb and Etowah Counties need to register by July 1.

In order to register, residents should go online to DisasterAssistance.gov, visit m.fema.gov on a smartphone, call 800-621-3362 or (TTY) 800-462-7585, or call 800-621-3362 if they use 711 Relay or Video Relay Services. Toll-free numbers operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.

Those who wish to apply for a low-interest U.S. Small Business loan should do so by July 1 as well. To apply, call 800-659-2955.
