HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Hot town, summer in the city – how's about we dance to a ditty?

This Thursday is Swing Night at the Flying Monkey Arts Center on Seminole Drive in Huntsville. No partner is required to join in. $10 gets you a lesson and a dance; it's only $5 if you already know the steps.

If swing's not your thing, Trinity United Methodist Church will be filled with the sounds of jazz on Friday. It's time for the Tennessee Valley Jazz-N-June Concert. The Jerry Weldon Trio is playing – Weldon is the lead horn player for Harry Connick Jr. $35 for reserved seating; $25 for general admission.

Not spicy enough? The Four Points hotel at Huntsville International Airport may have some salsa in store for you. A Touch of Latin Mid-Summer Dance is a unique fundraiser in support of the Harris Home for Children. There's an auction in addition to bands and dancing.

Those are just a few of the ideas the WAFF Events section has in store for you. There's lots more fun to be had, indoors or out. You can even submit your own events to the community!
