HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville police said two teenage girls were the victims of an armed robbery early Sunday morning.

The victims, both 17 years old, called police from Apollo Drive and said they had driven a friend to the area of Johnson High School in order for the friend to buy some ammunition from unknown people. This was around 1:15 a.m.

The victims said they were approached by three men and a woman, who pointed guns at them and demanded property. Police said the female robber hit one of the victims in the face with a handgun. The victims said the robbers left, and they drove home and called police.

Authorities said the victim's injuries were not life threatening.  No one has been arrested yet. This investigation is ongoing.
