Singer from country group Alabama victim of burglary

DEKALB CO., AL (WSFA) -

A founder member of the country music band Alabama is the victim of theft after his north Alabama home was burglarized on June 2.

Suspects broke into Jeff Cook's Fort Payne home and took multiple items including guitars, sports memorabilia, a video camera and equipment, firearms and other personal items.

Four suspects have since been taken into custody and the stolen property has been recovered, according to the Fort Payne Police Department.

The stolen items were found in Dekalb, Jackson and Montgomery counties. 

Jacob Lea, 34, Joshua Hammonds, 25, Matthew Patterson, 25, and Derrick Martin, 28, are charged with burglary or receiving stolen property charges.

Each is being held in the Dekalb County Jail.
