Good Wednesday evening. Here's a look at some of the stories we're working on for our 10 o'clock newscast.
We're continuing to follow the trial of former Country Day School teacher Brett Naff of Huntsville, who stands accused of the sodomy of a former student, who was 12 years old at the time. Today, prosecutors said that Naff showed signs of inappropriate behavior with students. But witnesses say he acted properly as a teacher and a coach. The prosecution called a parent as well as a former student to the stand today. WAFF 48's Vincent Crivelli will have more.
We'll hear more from Alabama Congressman Mo Brooks on the resignation of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor after Cantor was defeated in the primary election last night in his home district in Richmond.
And in my weekly Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers report, we'll show you a woman who police say used a counterfeit $50 bill to pay for a meal at a Madison restaurant. We'll show you the surveillance video and give you a chance to earn up to a thousand dollars in reward money.
