Woman found after reported missing in Humphreys County

Posted: Updated:

The Humphreys County Sheriff's Office says a woman who had been reported missing earlier Tuesday has been found alive.

Pamela Jean Hilligas, 37, had last been seen Tuesday morning near the intersection of Arnold Hollow Road and Deer Creek Road in McEwen.

Officials say Hilligas, who is disabled with a traumatic brain injury from a previous vehicle accident, walks with the assistance of a service dog and becomes easily confused and lost.

Hilligas was believed to be on foot with her service dog, Tyler, a standard black poodle.

Detective Sgt. Clay Anderson said Hilligas was found alive in a creek about a mile from her home. He said she will require some medical care due to exposure.
