ALDOT worker's request for lower bond denied

DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A judge has denied a request to reduce bond for a man accused of trying to solicit a teen for sex online.

Daniel Nixon pleaded not guilty to enticing a child for immoral purposes last week. Nixon is a former employee with the Alabama Department of Transportation.

His attorneys had asked the judge to have his $30,000 bond lowered.

Nixon's trial is set to begin August 11.
