HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

There is some high grass and weeds at a home in the 1500 block of McKinley Avenue in Huntsville. It looks like the backyard. Someone posted it on See, Click, Fix.

Huntsville's Community Development team checked it out and has now notified the owners that they are in violation of the city's grass and weed ordinance. Those owners have 14 days to clean it up.

We found another overgrowth issue in the 1700 block of McCullough Avenue.  The person commenting on See Click Fix posted that the bushes and flower beds in the right of way block the view to the right at the 4-way stop, heading north on Maysville Road.  Our cameraman found the same thing.

The City of Huntsville's handed the case to engineering, which will now go out and see what trimming needs to be done.

We also checked out a reported traffic light issue on Jefferson Street. Supposedly, the light in the 300 block only stays green for five seconds and the crosswalk signal doesn't work. That was just posted yesterday. We checked it out yesterday and didn't find either to be the case. Huntsville traffic engineers will still make a stop to see if it might be different at other times and whether a change is needed.
