Showers and storms are on the way out for a while as the Tennessee Valley begins to recover after another round of strong storms.

Downed trees and power outages were reported across Jackson County Tuesday. There have been a number of reports of damage from the Scottsboro and Stevenson areas.

A trailer park on Highway 35 in Scottsboro received heavy damage to trees. Winds also brought down power and cable lines in the area. At least two mobile homes suffered damage when trees fell on them. One was taken off its foundation.

Many of those reports, including those from the Hollywood area, involved fallen trees blocking roadways. A six-mile stretch of County Road 33 was covered with trees. Crews had to use front-end loaders to push them to the side of the road.

There were also reports of large hail across northeastern Alabama earlier Tuesday afternoon.

By late afternoon, the storms had moved past the Tennessee Valley, leaving residents to once again start the cleanup process.

A continued chance of rainfall has led to the extension of a Flash Flood Watch for North Alabama through Wednesday evening.
