A woman and her estranged husband are facing animal cruelty charges after four dead puppies were found in their Clarksville home.
The Leaf-Chronicle (http://leafne.ws/1kXdi7h) reports Nicole Hulbig and Eric Hulbig were arrested Thursday on four counts of aggravated animal cruelty after Montgomery County Animal Control officers discovered the decomposing puppies.
Both have been released on bond from the Montgomery County Jail. A jail official couldn't say if they have attorneys.
Nicole Hulbig is the founder of a nonprofit organization in Clarksville that claims to rescue dogs and train them for disabled soldiers
She told the newspaper on Friday that she and her husband are separated and she had not been to the house in more than a month and had no knowledge of the four dead dogs.
