JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

One of six people wanted in an alleged credit card fraud scheme has turned himself in.

Christian Talmadge Packer, 24, surrendered to authorities last night. He remains at the Jefferson County Jail on an $885,000 bond for one count of trafficking in stolen identities, one count of theft, 18 counts of identity theft and 20 counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.

Investigators say a restaurant in north Jefferson County had its credit card system hacked by a malware virus, which compromised customers' account information.

Police believe the suspect bought some of that stolen information, cloned faked cards and used them for fraudulent purchases.

Authorities are still searching for four other men and a woman.

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
