HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

In North Huntsville, people are working to clean up the mess Thursday's storm left.

People will have to deal with debris, downed power lines and trees into houses.

The chainsaws and falling debris was nothing compared to the noise a falling tree created at the Brown's family home. The tree crushed the family's car, and their home is now unlivable.

The Red Cross Disaster Relief Team showed up within the hour, helping with food, water and temporary shelter.

The Browns weren't the only ones affected. Other neighbors were left to pull thick limbs from their rooftops as well. The majority of the neighborhood lost power, leaving utility crews with a busy night ahead.

The cleanup will take a while for homeowners too. Still, they say they're doing their best to stay positive.
