The case of a Jackson County man charged with numerous sex charges involving little girls will now go to a grand jury.

Thursday afternoon, a judge found probable cause at a preliminary hearing in the case of Ulises Vincente. Vincente faces 16 charges of rape, sex abuse, enticing a child and sodomy involving two girls ages 6 and 7.

Authorities said the incidents happened earlier this year at a home in Stevenson. He was initially charged as a juvenile.

"Because of the seriousness of the crimes, he was later charged as an adult," said Jackson County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Rocky Harnen. "We later found out after communicating with ICE, the customs service, that he has an illegal alien charge against him and he's actually 18 years old."

Vincente's request to have his $250,000 bond lowered was denied.
