Man accused of fatal stabbing heads to court

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The man investigators say stabbed another man to death is set to appear in court.

Thursday is the preliminary hearing for 39-year-old Dan Cobb.

The judge will hear from both sides and decide if the case will go to a grand jury.

Cobb is charged with murder and domestic violence and is being held on $105,000 bond.

In April, Madison County deputies found 64-year-old Bobby Pierce stabbed to death in a mobile home.

Investigators said they believe Cobb and Pierce got into a domestic dispute and that's what led to the stabbing.

A neighbor who lives next door said the two men argued a lot.

Cobb's mother was injured during the argument but investigators said her injuries weren't life threatening.
