HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Habitat for Humanity of Madison County held their first farmers market Monday.

The market was held on Pratt Avenue in Huntsville. Farmers from various locations came out to sell fresh fruits and vegetables.

"People can buy and eat healthy, and maybe live a lot longer," said Ron King of King Family Farms.

Officials reported the first session of the market was a success – in fact, supplies of everything ran out.

The farmers market will return next Monday.
