Stolen guns found at Trinity man's home

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Lawrence County investigators believe they have solved a residential break-in with the arrest of a Trinity man.

Investigators arrested Scotty Lee Gardner on charges of third-degree burglary and first-degree theft of property.

Sheriff Gene Mitchell said over $5,000 worth of guns were stolen from a residence on County Road 369 in the East Lawrence community on May 25. The sheriff said Gardner sold some of the stolen guns and that some of the guns were found during a search of Gardner's residence.

Gardner is being held in the Lawrence County Jail with no bond set.
