To either keep or fire Carol Wicks as Director of Animal Services will be a decision made by the city council. If it comes to that, it would be put on a Decatur City Council meeting agenda for further review. So far, it is not on the agenda for their next meeting on Sep 2. If the issue comes before the city council, that's when we hope to find out why Mayor Kyle decided to put Wicks on paid administrative leave. He will not comment on it, saying he cannot talk about a pending personnel issue. (Toledo News Now) -

A human trafficking sting led to the arrests of three men in two northwest Ohio counties this week.

On Tuesday, the Wood, Hancock and Wyandot county sheriff's offices conducted a human trafficking enforcement operation at truck stops along Interstate 75 at state Routes 18 and 613.

The following were arrested and charged with solicitation/prostitution, a third-degree misdemeanor:

-Gregory Singleton, 41, of Ypsilanti, MI
-Anderson Bircheat, 48, of Leeds, AL
-Kevin Neathery, 45, of Greenwood, IN

"We do both sides of the issue of going after the prostitute and also going after the Johns. And unfortunately, there's a demand, and we're going to continue doing that as long as there's demand," said Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn.

Officials say Singleton's case is pending through the Findlay Municipal Court, while Neathery and Bircheat's cases are pending through the Bowling Green Municipal Court.

Efforts by the Wood County Sheriff's Office were assisted by funding from the Edward Byrn Memorial Justice Assistance Grant obtained by the Office of Criminal Justice Services.
