HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Firefighters responded to a house fire on Pratt Avenue early Wednesday morning that temporarily shut down a portion of the road.
Police called the fire in while on patrol. The fire started at an abandoned building at 650 Pratt Avenue. The fire chief said no utilities were connected. The cause has not been determined yet.
Firefighters had to shut down a section of Pratt Avenue between Church Street and Washington Street in order to run a water line across the road. The section reopened more than an hour later.
