Good Tuesday evening from the WAFF 48 newsroom. Here's what we're working on for our 10 o'clock newscast.
We're continuing to watch and wait along with the rest of the world as the nearly 300 Nigerian school girls who were kidnapped have been located. The question is, "now what"? There have been protests across Nigeria and across the Tennessee Valley for the same return of the girls who were kidnapped by Islamic extremists. One such rally took place in Tuscumbia this evening. WAFF 48's Charles Molineaux was there for that rally and will have more at 10.
We also have new video into our newsroom of an altercation that took place inside a Huntsville Wal-Mart today. Huntsville Police arrested a man after he allegedly harassed a person inside the store at the corner of Drake Avenue and Memorial Parkway. Police had to use pepper spray to arrest the suspect. We'll have new video for you at 10.
And a state geologist is set to arrive on scene at a sinkhole that opened up this past Friday on I-65 at mile marker 327 near the Hartselle exit. WAFF 48's Sarah Navoy will have the latest, including a discussion with a motorist who travels that rote frequently.
Be sure and join us for these stories and more at 10.
See you then,
