HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

On Monday, many will pause to remember our fallen military members. Floyd E. Tut Fann State Veterans Home will hold a ceremony that morning for its residents.

This ceremony will include a program along with a reception. Hubert Stamm, a veteran, talked about what Memorial Day means to him.

"It's a celebration of our fallen comrades who helped keep this nation free," Stamm said. "I think everybody in the United States ought to stop and say a prayer for five or six minutes every day for our fallen comrades and also for our military we have today."

Stamm was a member of the Army who served in Korea and Vietnam.
