Huntsville Police investigate Rickwood Dr. stabbing

A man was transported to the hospital after reportedly being stabbed Thursday afternoon. A man was transported to the hospital after reportedly being stabbed Thursday afternoon.
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Police said a man was stabbed inside a home in north Huntsville Thursday afternoon.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene in the 6000 block of Rickwood Drive around 4:30 p.m. to find the man in a yard.

Investigators are trying to determine what happened, but said the man was stabbed in the house and then stumbled into the yard.

The man had a wound to his chest; he was transported to Huntsville Hospital. Police said the injury was not life-threatening.

A woman was arrested at the scene. Police said she was trying to talk to a witness and was hindering the investigation. She is not accused in the stabbing.

No arrests have been made in relation to the stabbing. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
