Victim identified in fatal motorcycle wreck

One person was killed in a Huntsville wreck involving a motorcycle Monday morning. One person was killed in a Huntsville wreck involving a motorcycle Monday morning.
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville Police released the name of the victim killed in a motorcycle wreck Monday morning. Authorities identified the victim as 23-year-old Christina Renee Brazier.

Emergency crews responded around 9 a.m. Monday to the northbound side of Memorial Parkway at the Golf Road overpass.

According to authorities, the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the wreck. Investigators said Brazier was killed when the motorcycle hit a light post. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers closed traffic in the northbound lanes of Memorial Parkway in the area of Vermont Road while emergency crews responded to the wreck. Lanes were reopened to traffic around 10:30 a.m. Monday.

Huntsville Police said toxicology results are pending which is normal in cases similar to Monday's wreck.
