HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

People across the country raised money for cystic fibrosis research.

The largest fundraiser of the year happened on Saturday, with some 200 walks happening across America. One of these walks was right here in Huntsville at the Bridge Street Town Center Saturday morning.

"Not a lot of people know what cystic fibrosis or CF is," said Anya Douglas, an event organizer. "So this event gives the community a chance to come out, learn more about CF, learn more about the research, the medicine, the clinics and to meet some great people."
