LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Many went out on Friday night to honor those who died in the line of duty.

Police Officers and their families gathered in the Shoals to remember those who've passed on. The Annual Blue Light Memorial started with a parade of lights through the Shoals and ending with a ceremony in McFarland Park.

Candles were lit for officers from Colbert, Franklin, and Lauderdale counties.
