Bon fire sends six people to the hospital

ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Six people were sent to the hospital Friday night in Marshall County after a bon fire went bad.

The incident happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Buttermilk Road just outside of Albertville. Albertville Police said five juveniles and one adult were transported to Marshall Medical Center South due to the incident.

Police said the group was sitting around a bon fire when something popped. Some had minor burns but other are believed to have second degree burns.
