Good Friday evening and TGIF!
Elder abuse is a growing problem in the Tennessee Valley and the country. Just this week, we told you about a woman who left her sister-in-law on the floor for weeks after she had fallen in a Shoals home. The woman died from a variety of health problems as a result. WAFF 48's Diana Crawford spoke with a local expert on how you can spot, help, report and prevent senior abuse.
Also, you may have noticed the growth of a new food service industry: food trucks. Tonight, we had a number of them gathered in downtown Huntsville. WAFF 48's Charles Molineaux looks into this growing industry and what sort of economic impact it might here in the Valley.
We'll also preview tomorrow's annual Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers Auction. WAFF 48 is the media partner of this non-profit organization. And this is their one and only fundraiser of the year. From cars to college football travel packages to jewelry, this event has it all. We'll tell you how it's success has grown with the success of this valuable crime-fighting organization.
We hope to see you at 10,
