BT veteran brings two decades of experience selling and delivering software solutions to manage complex business system change

RESTON, Va., May 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Excelacom has added Tim Dadd as Vice President UK to head the company's sales and business development efforts in the UK. Excelacom is a global software and services provider for customers in telecommunications and communications-related industries.

"Tim Dadd brings to Excelacom a wealth of experience in IT business management, both selling and delivering complex change with a passionate, can-do attitude," said Majid Naderkhani, Excelacom's CEO. "His sales and management experience spans from Europe to Asia and he's developed a keen understanding of the back-office needs and business realities of telecom providers from working on both the carrier and vendor sides."

For 20 years, Dadd has delivered innovative solutions to companies in the areas of order capture, fulfillment, billing, assurance and accounting. He was most recently with Openreach, the infrastructure division of BT Group, where he headed five different teams focused on systems architecture, development and optimization. From 2006-2008 he was the project director responsible for separating the Openreach system from the rest of BT.

Previously he was general manager of the solutions group within an Australian software company serving the telecommunications industry, where he sold products and services to carriers in Australia, the U.S., South America and Europe.

"The UK telecoms industry is in a period of rapid churn and transformation," said Dadd. "The functionally rich and highly configurable modules in Excelacom's Century Platform have been built to help companies manage this transformation in a way that makes both technical and business sense. I can't wait to get started."

Excelacom has been helping telecommunications providers work through these types of challenges for more than a decade. Excelacom specializes in providing products and services focused on the "Quote to Cash" portion of a provider's business processes. Whenever possible, Excelacom works to leave core systems in place, optimizing them and wrapping additional capabilities around them so new products can be rolled out quickly and profitably.

Excelacom's Century Platform is a broad suite of integrated BSS modules that offers communications providers a configurable, largely ready-to-use solution for the sale, delivery and management of new products and services. Century modules can be used to manage the entire customer lifecycle, from creating a product catalog through managing customers, orders and system delivery. Century can be implemented as a standalone or added to a customer's existing system as an adjunct capability, without costly and time-consuming modification or customization of existing systems.
