Tuscumbia turns Wild West for rodeo weekend

TUSCUMBIA, AL (WAFF) -

The City of Tuscumbia turned into the Wild West Thursday for the kickoff of the first Harvey Robbins Memorial Rodeo.

Thursday's kickoff schedule includes a drive of 100 head of cattle through the streets of Downtown Tuscumbia, concerts, line dance instructions and more.

The fun continues through the weekend, with roping, riding and spectator events throughout Saturday and Sunday. Sunday will also be the time to chow down at a barbecue cookoff.

Tickets are $15 for those 19 and up; $12 for 9-18, and free for kids 8 years and under.
