Two charged after Deputies find liquid meth

LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Investigators with the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office have arrested two men after finding a meth lab inside a home.

Anthony Wright, 38, and Stephen Bennett, 57, have been charged with manufacturing and possession of meth. Bennett was also charged with theft.

According to a report, investigators served a search warrant at 2980 Mud Swamp Road. They found about 1,000 grams of methamphetamine oil and some marijuana.

500 grams of a liquid by-product were also found, along with a number of firearms and a stolen motorcycle.

Wright and Bennett were taken to the Lowndes County Jail. A bond amount was not immediately available.

Lowndes County Sheriff Chris Prine said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
