A main break sent water rushing in an area along Hurricane Road Saturday night.
Thefts come in all sizes, shapes and amounts. We see convenience store thefts involving cases of beer or a carton of cigarettes.
But this week, we're focusing on a jewelry store theft involving tens of thousands of dollars stolen in a matter of seconds.
For a crook, all the sparkly and expensive items in a jewelry shop might make them feel like a kid in a candy store.
A theft occurred April 25 at the Grogan Jewelers in the Bridge Street Town Center.
The man, wearing a black Nike shirt with a white stripe and jeans, was looking at earrings.
After the clerk handed him one pair to look at, he took those and grabbed another pair and ran out of ther store.
He seemed to know what he was looking for. One pair of those earrings was worth $28,000. The other was worth $20,000.
We have a couple of pretty good looks at this thief on store surveillance video.
He appeared to "stalk his prey" for a short time before making his move.
If you recognize him there's a nice deposit coming into your bank account.
