HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The attorney for a Guntersville soccer coach says his client maintains his innocence but will not make any public statement before he's due back in court in June for a preliminary hearing.

David Barrow faces sex abuse and human trafficking charges. He posted a $180,000 bond on Monday after spending the weekend in jail. Barrow's attorney, Ron Smith, said Huntsville police kept his client in jail despite not presenting an arrest warrant 48 hours after they took him into custody. Smith said that's against the law.

Smith said he received his client's arrest warrant more than four days after police removed him from a school bus in front of his team. According to Smith, that warrant gives some information about what the coach is accused of, but does not provide many specifics.

Court documents filed on Wednesday show Barrow is due back in court for his preliminary hearing on June 19.
