Viracon to create 125 jobs in Bulloch County

Governor Nathan Deal announced Tuesday that Viracon will expand its existing operations in Statesboro, creating 125 jobs and investing $2 million in its Statesboro facility.

"Georgia's booming manufacturing sector makes it easy for leading global companies such as Viracon to remain competitive in Georgia," said Deal. "Having the tools to help existing business create high-quality jobs is important to keeping our state a leader in the international marketplace."

The existing 330,000-square-foot facility in Statesboro produces and fabricates architectural glass for major construction projects across the United States. This newest expansion will help the company meet the expected growth in product demand, particularly growth in commercial construction activity along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts.

"We have a great team in Georgia," said Bill Wright, Viracon's vice president of US Operations. "On behalf of our employees, I would like to thank the city of Statesboro, Bulloch County and the state of Georgia for helping us grow our business in our Southeast plant."
