How to register for assistance in DeKalb Co.

DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

DeKalb County residents impacted by the storms on April 28 can now begin to register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency for disaster assistance.

DeKalb County EMA director Michael Posey said you can also go to the Disaster Recovery Center at 1335 Sardis Drive in Boaz to register in person.

If neither of these methods are available to you, you can call 256-845-8569 for further assistance.

Several tornadoes struck the DeKalb County area on April 28. Three were confirmed Thursday by the Huntsville branch of the National Weather Service.
