Man killed in Jackson Co. wreck

JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Alabama State Troopers are investigating after a wreck in Jackson County left one man dead.

Authorities said the two-vehicle wreck happened around 7 a.m. Thursday morning in a marked construction zone on Jackson County Road 92 near Higdon.

Investigators said Eddie Louise Fox, 68, was killed when the car he was driving struck the rear of a parked semi-truck. According to State Troopers, Fox was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other further information has been released. Authorities continue to investigate.
