HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville Police were called to the scene of a business robbery Tuesday night.

It happened at the Exxon station on the 8100 block of Whitesburg Drive just before 10 p.m.

Police said they responded to an alarm call at the gas station, and a few minutes later, the clerk called 911 and said he'd just been robbed.

The clerk told police an unknown man wearing all black had entered the store, armed with a handgun, and demanded money from the register. The clerk said the robber took the money and ran out of the store.

Police set up a perimeter and called for a K-9 unit to track down the robber.
