Hazel Green business open following damage

Sprays Pest Control suffered roof damage and flooding, but is back open. Sprays Pest Control suffered roof damage and flooding, but is back open.

A business in Hazel Green is repairing damage caused by last week's storms.

The building housing Sprays Termite & Pest Control suffered roof and flooding damage. Crews have already weather-proofed the building and the business is operational, but there are still repairs that need to be made.

Co-owner Stan Spray said his thoughts are with those who lost so much more.

"To us it was more of an inconvenience," Spray said. "What some people are going through is just unimaginable. I couldn't imagine going through something like that, and it's really opened our eyes now that we've finally got hit."

Hazel Green Church of God of Prophecy also sustained some damage. Tarps have been placed on the roof, but more repairs still have to be performed there.

Scattered rain showers will linger this evening, especially east of I-65. There’s also a cold front still to our west that will move through the Valley with time overnight. Another round of heavier showers may develop along that front, but no severe weather is expected.
