A fire in Limestone County claimed the lives of a man's dogs Tuesday morning, but the man got out with the help of a gun.
A no-show in court has led to additional
problems for a Shoals man who pleaded guilty to home repair fraud.
Phillip Strickland failed to show up to court
Monday afternoon, which means a Lauderdale County judge will now issue a bench
warrant for his arrest.
This is not the first time Strickland has
failed to show up for a hearing. Courthouse officials said Strickland is known
for skipping hearings and later being arrested for his lack of attendance.
Strickland is accused of ripping off several
people thorough a company called Bama Roofing. Victims said he would start a
project and never finish it, causing additional damage to the homes.
Courthouse officials said Strickland did appear
in court in February for his last review.
