WARREN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Bond for Kimberly Chapman has been set for $500,000.

She was arrested and charged with home invasion burglary, robbery and attempted murder in the beating of a woman in Warren County.

Police tell us that they responded to a call that a 1994 maroon Cadillac was broken down and the driver was in need of help.

A Warren County Sheriff Deputy responded and noticed that the driver, 23-year-old Kimberly Nicole Chapman, had blood on her.

We are told that Chapman is not the owner of the car. Authorities also say that they found a purse and identification in the vehicle that did not match Chapman's.

The deputy then traced the identification to a house on the 3600 block of Warrior's Trail in Warren County.

Upon arrival, the deputy found a 70-year-old woman lying in a pool of blood.

Police have not identified her.

We are told the victim is in the hospital. No word on her condition at this time.

We are told that Chapman had a 6-month-old baby with her when she was found, but investigators don't know if the baby was present when the crime was committed. The baby is now in DHS custody.

Pace also tells us that more arrests are possible.
