As you wind down your weekend and prepare for the days ahead, why not clear some calendar space for next weekend? The events section of WAFF.com is chock-full of fun ways to spend your spare time; many are family friendly. We've pulled a few highlights from our listings for next weekend.

PAWS in the Park is a family and pet-friendly fundraising event that includes adoptable animals, games and activities plus live music, concessions and more. Runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Florence.

A kickball tournament for autism awareness will be held beginning at 9 a.m. May 10 at Discovery Middle School. 32 teams will converge in a double-elimination tournament in support of autism and Aspeger's Syndrome awareness. Attendees will learn of the resources available while enjoying a fun atmosphere. Free to attend.

Charles Stone Walker Park in Gurley will play host to the 5th Annual Multiple Sclerosis Benefit Cookout. Funds raised go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Alabama-Mississippi Chapter. Runs Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
