LINCOLN COUNTY, TN (WAFF) -

Students of the tornado-damaged South Lincoln Elementary, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, will return to school Monday morning.

They will finish out the school year at Flintville Elementary. Flintville students will use the classrooms in the morning, and South Lincoln students will use them in the afternoon. School leaders said there will be a lot of extra help from staffers to avoid any confusion.

South Lincoln staff held an open house at Flintville for parents and students to get everyone acclimated to the children's new classrooms and to sign up for childcare.

Car riders may begin arriving at Flintville for drop-off at 11:15 a.m. Parents will enter at the east end of the building and drive to the back to drop their students off at the awning. Afternoon car riders will begin loading at the rear of the building at 2:45 p.m.

K-8 bus riders will be picked up at their homes and should arrive at Flintville Elementary between 11:15 and 11:30 a.m. Parents should estimate the bus arrival time at your home based upon what it was on a normal school day. Afternoon buses will load around 3:20 p.m. for the trip home.

For 9-12 bus riders, South Lincoln drivers will run buses at normal times and be taken to Lincoln Baptist Church. NGA and LCHS students will transfer to their normal shuttle buses that transport them to their respective schools. Students will ride their normal shuttle when they leave in the afternoon, and will be shuttled to Flintville Elementary, where they will then get on their normal South Lincoln bus to be taken home.

TCAP testing will be administered May 6-9.

Officials at South Lincoln reported having recovered almost all student medications. The nurse will sort through and will notify parents of any missing emergency medication.

Summer childcare will still be provided by South Lincoln, but will be housed at Flintville Elementary. Applications can be picked up at the Flintville office.
